Happy 140, the winds have stopped here, the clouds have cleared and I can hear the celebrations in the park down the street. I shall wander down and see who to gather up for a BBQ and CFL game with much consumption of Rickards Red, or even perhaps a lowly "Molson Canadian" or six.
Then we'll wander back to see the fireworks tonight and see what the standings are in this weekend's $5,000 fishing derby. It will be interesting as the salmon fly hatch is going on simultaneously so the rainbows are in a feeding frenzy.
Field's sold out of flags, so I grabbed a couple inflatable baseball bats with the flag logo so we can all beat on each other when we're hammered. Then I can sleep in tomorrow.
Hope everyone else has fun, too.

I'd rather work Monday than today. At least Monday counts as the stat holiday and I get the big bucks.

Working Canada Day and Monday is made up for by my leaving for Kelowna and Merritt today. Having to 'work' during Wake Fest in Kelowna and the Merritt Mountain Music Fest. I work before and after, but in between I'm staff with nothing to do at two of the biggest parties of the summer.
